A Münster silver gilt communion chalice

Round foot engraved with grape vines surrounding four reserves depicting Saints Peter and John, the Virgin Mary, and Christ Crucified. Inscribed "CALICEM SALUTARIS ACCIPIAM, ET NOMEN DOMINI INVOCABO". The pierced grapevine pommel with garnet cabochons, the cuppa supported by Gothic style tracery. Monogrammed "P.H." to the undersidee and dated 1885. With patene and spoon. In a modern case. H 17.5 cm, weight 578 g.
