A French carved ivory nutmeg rasp case with Chronos and a personification of beauty, 18th century

With minimal remains of former partial polychromy. Similar to the previous lot in composition and functionality, but without the storage case to the reverse. Here the front of the rasp is decorated with Rococo ornament surrounding a depiction of Chronos, the ancient God of Time, stealing away beauty, personified by a female figure.
Three short hairline cracks to the reverse. With rasp. 21.5 x 6 cm.
