A late 15th century carved oak figure of the Virgin and Child, presumably Brabantine

Carved in the round. Minimal remains of former polychromy.. A standing figure of the Virgin facing to one side and holding the nude Christ Child over Her hip with Her right hand and a globe in Her left hand. The composition of the slender figure with its elongated proportions is dominated by the lively drapery of the Virgin's cloak, which falls in thick rounded and vertical folds to the ground.
Left arm and right foot of the Child as well as the cross on the globe lost. Vertical cracks, samll losses. Height 71 cm Height 71 cm.
