An Art Deco silver gilt minaudière

Smooth rectangular form decorated with black enamel inset with gold thread designs. The clasp set with rose-cut diamonds and a carved coral flowerhead (c. 13.62 x 10.48 mm). The interior fitted with a mirror, two powder compartments with hinged lids and a folding lipstick holder. Hallmarks: French silver fineness 800 (Tardy, 199), "Ghiso Made in France", maker's mark "AP" of Auguste Peroulá, numbered 1418. One corner of the mirror with a small chip. 1.4 x 7.7 x 5 cm. Total weight 163.68 g.
