A 14k red gold, diamond and pearl brooch

Red gold and silver brooch formed as a naturalistic fruiting branch with peruzzi-cut diamonds (in total c. 1.60 ct, H-J, vs-p) and a large baroque natural pearl (presumably a blister pearl, c. 23.04 x 11.94 mm) forming the fruit. Can be worn as a brooch or pendant. With damage and amendments, five stones missing, soldered repairs. 4 x 3 cm. Weight 14.56 g.

This fragment of a tiara once formed part of the jewellery collection of a Prussian aristocratic family. A

Fragment eines Diadems das zum sogen. "Majoratsschmuck" der preußischen Adelsfamilie gehörte. Mitte des 19. Jh. war einem Vorfahr aufgrund seiner Verdienste vom preußischen Königshof ein Majoratsgut verliehen worden.
