A glass tankard with the imperial eagle

Cylindrical tankard with attached basal ring. Decorated in enamels with a large double-headed eagle in black with white outlines against the imperial orb. The eagle's outstretched wings painted with 56 coats of arms. Those of the Prince Electors are shown above and those of the various estates of the Holy Roman Empire below, from highest to lowest rank. Inscribed above, "Das Heilige Römisch Reich: Mittsampt Seinen Gliedern 1601". The lower edge of the rim decorated with a frieze of blue and red relief enamel cabochons. Some of the small enamel cabochons lost. H 29.2 cm.
Attributed to Bohemia, 1601.
