An important Lauenstein glass goblet and cover commemorating Queen Anne

Domed base supporting a faceted baluster shaft with two pommels. The display side of the cup decorated with a round medallion bearing a portrait of the queen in profile flanked by trophies and trellis pattern. The reverse with a large strapwork cartouche supported by two putti inscribed "ANNA nata Regia:: Princeps Magna: Britanniae..". The original lid with corresponding decor. H 38 cm.
