A glass chalice with the Prussian coat of arms

Round base supporting a thick shaft with three pommels and bubble inclusions. The tapering cup decorated with a coat of arms flanked by "wild men". A small chip to the rim. H 20.6 cm.
Dutch or English, the cut decor attributed to Berlin, 1st half 18th C.

The coat of arms is thought to be that of Friederike Sophie Wilhelmine of Prussia (1709 - 58), later Margravine Wilhelmine von Brandenburg-Bayreuth and beloved sister of King Friedrich II.
