A Sheffield silver tea service "Pride"

Comprising a large teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug. The tapering teapot with bakelite finial and C-shaped leather covered handle. H of teapot 16 cm, total weight 1,329 g.
Marks of Walker & Hall, designed by David Mellor 1958, produced 1963 - 64.

Mellor's design won first prize from the British Council of Industrial Design. Alongside this Sterling silver version, the firm also produced a silver plated version with plastic handles.
