A greyish-white jade brush washer. 18th century

Of compressed rounded shape, on a short foot rim, the sides in shallow relief with scholars amidst a rocky landscape with bamboo, pine trees, and blooming plum trees. At the base a four-character mark in a sunken square reading: Li Minhe Shang. The highly polished stone of greyish-white tone with few inclusions of russet veines.
