A large Indian round lacquered leather shield (dhal). 19th century

The rim slightly turned upward, to the centre four brass bosses surrounded by pierced borders and a crescent-shaped application. On the reverse four iron rings for leather enarmes and an early red velvet pad. Old collection number in white ink. Traces of use.
