A bamboo and wood portable writing set (yatate). Second half 19th century

The case for the brush of bamboo with a flat wooden lid and decorated in gold lacquer (extensively rubbed) with plum blossom branches, the ink container of a flat piece of bamboo with a long, incised inscription signed Shôun tô one side and a flat bottom, with a lid of two different kinds of wood. The bone ojime in shape of a basket with a fruiting branch.
