An ivory netsuke of a tanuki. First half 19th century

Standing with a large lotus leaf on its head as if it were a hat, a gourd with sake hanging from his left forepaw, while he holds a smaller lotus leaf in his other paw which he can use as a cup. The eyes of black horn. On foot restuck, a vertical drill hole at the back of the "hat".
