Standing upright and holding a rooster in his arms, dressed in a wide-brimmed hat, a long robe and knickerbockers. The gaiters with buttons of black horn.
Height 9.9 cm

This representation of a Dutchman with a cockerel allows various interpretations. The animal can be seen as a possible reference to cockfights, a pastime of the Dutch merchants on the island of Deshima, but also as a symbol of peace and peaceful intentions of the Dutch in Japan.
