A large ivory okimono netsuke of three karako at shishimai, by Nagatsugu. Second half 19th century

The boy at the centre holds a shishi mask over his head, the long mask cloth covering the karako’s back, while the boy to his right plays the trumpet and the one to his left beats a drum, on an irregular base. Signed Nagatsugu.
