A Berlin KPM porcelain bonbonnière with Venus and Cupid

Model no. 2319. Rounded bombé form box with original lid. Finely painted with a depiction of the recumbent Venus upon a red drapery amid clouds, accompanied by her son Cupid. The edges and side faces with relief gold tendrils. Blue sceptre mark, red imperial orb mark, impressed mark P and 2, gold painter's mark Fr. H 8.5, W 11.4 cm.
