A 22k gold netsuke ring

22 kt Gelbgold. Unique hand-forged solid gold design. The bezel formed as lotus leaf upon which perch a frog and a snail. Bezel 5 x 3 cm. Ring size 57. Weight 83.07 g.
Theodor "Teddy" Hahn, Darmstadt 1990s.

This elaborate sculptural ring was inspired by an 18th century Japanese netsuke made of carved boxwood which belongs to the important netsuke collection of Teddy Hahn and is not for sale. The crouching frog is an addition by the artist.
