Smooth, rounded oval design with integral hinges. The lid decorated with a large coat-of-arms picked out in coloured enamels. Hallmarks: Birmingham assay from 1899, maker's mark of Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd. 2 x 8 x 6 cm. Weight 96.7 g.
