An extensive agate-handled cutlery set

Steel and silver cutlery set comprising 18 knives and 17 forks. The mountings of the faceted agate handles engraved with Régence decoration. In a large embossed leather covered wooden box with a heraldic appliqué. Includes two sets of carving cutlery comprising a knife and two-pronged fork. With some hairline cracks and traces of corrosion to the metal, the case with signs of wear. L of knives c. 24.5; of forks 18.5 cm.
Unmarked, presumably German or Dutch, 1st half 18th C.
