A rare Meissen porcelain plate with a bird in flight

The well decorated with a fanciful exotic bird in an iron red surround, reminiscent of the Chinese fenghuang motif. Blue crossed swords mark. A minor restoration to the rim at 2 o'clock. D 21.7 cm.
Probably latter half of the 1720s.
