A Quakenbrück pewter tankard

Cylindrical vessel with engraved mouldings and hinged lid with a baluster finial. The display side decorated with the symbol of the baker's guild, a crowned pretzel flanked by palm fronds and dated “1774”. With a crowned oval mark inscribed “LDB 1769” on the handle. H 31.3 cm.
