A carved ivory Corpus Christi, presumably Southern Germany, third quarter 17th century

Carved in the round, the arms visibly separately attached. This depiction of Christ crucified with four nails has been mounted on an 18th century Italian rosewood veneer cross.
One toe missing, otherwise in good condition. Height 24 cm. Width of arms 18.5 cm. Total height of cross 63 cm.
