A blanc-de-Chine bowl with incised chrysanthemum. Dehua. Second half 17th century

With rounded sides rising to an everted rim and with a recessed base, decorated to the centre with an incised chrysanthemum spray in anhua and all covered with a creamy white, ivory-coloured glaze.

Private collection, Ruhr area, Germany, assembled in the 1960s, acquired at Peters, Berlin in the year 1970, and thence in the family by descent
