A Silesian cut glass cup and cover with a motto

The foot cup on the underside with an arched border supporting a faceted baluster shaft. The faceted base of the tapering cup with indented horizontal mouldings. The upper section decorated with alternating motifs in six arched reserves: Two women with a dog and a sheep, lambrequins, and in the centre a scene with two small winged amoretti handing each other a heart with the inscription “Redlich wehrt/ Ewig”. The corresponding lid with foliate décor. With rim chips. H 20.1 cm.
Attributed to Szklarska Poreba, second third 18th century.
