A Dresden walnut writing cabinet

Two-part cabinet with walnut, burr walnut, boxwood and maple veneer on softwood with brass mountings. The lower section with three drawers and an integrated folding writing surface concealing six further drawers. The upper section with two doors concealing 12 drawers arranged around four central compartments. The insides of the doors and the writing surface fitted with later tooled brown leather. The mountings amended, shrinkage cracks, the veneer on the left faded, some older filled insect damage. H 236.5, W 120, D ca. 66 cm.
