A rare Böttger stoneware jug

Red Böttger stoneware with silver mountings. The original lid can be lifted via a delicate silver mounting, with an acorn thumbrest. Impressed dreher's mark of Peter Geithner the Elder. Chips around the base and the inner rim of the lid. H with thumbrest 21.4 cm.
Circa 1711/12.
