A very large Angkor sandstone head of Shiva. Cambodia. 10th century or later

With large incised eyes and pronounced upper and lower lids and large eyes pupils, the mouth with a slender moustache and a cropped beard to the chin and lower cheeks, and a third eye to the forehead. Behind the typically decorated diadem braided hair tresses forming a large cylindrical chignon. Face in parts reworked. With a wooden stand.
