Tanto with sansukumi motif. 19th century

Steel blade with yakiba and engraved dragon winding itself around a sword with a vajra handle, (kurikara-ryû), siddham script (bonji) and silver habaki to the other side. Scabbard and handle of wood with cherry bark veneer. A writhing silver dragon with shakudo eyes and copper tongue to the side. A small frog of shibuichi and gold to the handle. Metal mekugi. Snail missing.
