A very large a heavy five-elephant tripod incense burner. 19th century

On three elephant head feet, supporting a body decorated with lotus scrolls in relief, and with two elephant head handles, the domed lid with lotus scrolls in openwork and a recumbent elephant supporting a vase-shaped knob. The ornaments of the elephant inlaid in part with turquoise. Apocryphal mark to the base reading Da Qing Qianlong ershiwu nian (1760) si yue ji ri cao bao.
