A pair of Warsaw silver candlesticks

The smooth tapering shafts issuing from round bases with square plinths. H 26.5cm, weight 877 g.
Marked "Lilpop Sukcessorowie" (successor of Lilpop), circa 1830.

The maker's mark "Lilpop Sukcessorowie" was a workshop mark used by Jakub Marcińczyk, a relative of Karol Lilpop, from the time of his death in 1834 to the permanent closing of the studio in 1838 in order to sell the remainder of Lilpop's exising works.
