A sumptuous Meissen porcelain tankard with chrysanthemum decor

Fitted with a later pewter lid. Cylindrical tankard decorated throughout with Chinoiserie flower and rock motifs. The rim with a broad foliate border, the handle with a garland of Oriental flowers. Unglazed base, blue crossed swords mark with K below the handle. With a short vertical firing crack below the handle, scratches. H with lid 25, H without lid 20.5 cm.
The porcelain Meissen, around 1740 - 50, the decor attributed to Johann David Kretzschmar or Peter Kolmberger.
