A small Meissen porcelain vase with purple lustre cartouches

Baluster-form vessel decorated on each facet with two gold quatrefoil cartouches. One side with a Chinoiserie figure holding a fan beneath a Chinoiserie fence motif, the other with two finely painted merchant navy scenes in puce camaieau. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's mark of Johann Daniel Rehschuh. Small retouched chips to the lip, retouched wear to the gilding. H 10.5 cm.
Around 1730 - 35, decor in the manner of Johann Ehrenfried Stadler and Christian Friedrich Herold.
