A small travel apothecary

Palisander, ivory, brass on oak corpus, pewter and zinc, later felt lining. Trunk-shaped case decorated on all faces with inlays and ivory borders. The edges and lid with moulded brass mountings, one forming the central, finely etched lockplate. Containing two etched pewter bottles and compartments with finely engraved covers. With a label on the inside of the lid "MICHAEL IENNIG IN NVRNBERG", two pewter marks, marked "MG" on the lock plate. Some nails lost / replaced. H 10.3, W 15.7, D 6.6 cm.
