Pocket mirror with a portrait miniature of a gentleman

Silver-mounted oval tortoiseshell compact containing a mirror in the lower compartment and a portrait of an elegantly dressed young man painted in oils in the lid. Minor chips to the rim of the lid. 7.6 cm x 6.1 cm.
Attributed to Northern Germany / Denmark, around 1630.
