A Parisian ormolu cartel clock

Gilt bronze case with white enamel dial, pierced gilt hands and glazing. 14-day running movement with verge escapement, half-hourly striking to a bell and thread suspension of the pendulum. Signed on the dial "Imbert l'aîné A PARIS". Glazing of the pendulum aperture lost. H c. 71, W c. 34 cm.
Paris, movement by Jean Gabriel Imbert l'aîné (master in 1776), case after a design by the cabinetmaker Pierre Antoine Foullet.
