A stone relief with Christ and the Twelve Apostles, Germany, 14th century

Presumably sandstone, with remnants of former polychromy. High relief depicting Christ in the centre, raising a chalice and with His hand held aloft in a blessing, surrounded the the Twelve Apostles. Peter is depicted directly beside Christ with the keys, and Saint John can be recognised by his youthful, beardless appearance. The figures are depicted before Gothic arches.
Minor wear and traces of weathering, otherwise in good condition. 24.5 x 30.5 x 6.5 cm.
