With an irregularily shaped body and a hand-formed spout covered by a whitish glaze, the inside painted in iron-black with a bird by a shore underneath a cliff, signed to the right. A potter's seal at the base. Wooden box, the lid inscribed with the name of the painter, a title, katakuchi hachi (spouted bowl) and the signature of the potter nanajû-ô Shun... with a seal, to the reverse signed by the painter with a verse and his signature and seal.
