A gilt bronze figire of a lama. Southern Tibet. 18th century

The lama sits in a meditation posture on a rectangular, tiered throne made of two seat cushions with a seat rug on top. The copper cover plate of the closed throne base is decorated with engraved visvavajra (double vajra).
