A German 18k gold, diamond and sapphire cocktail brooch in the shape of a swan in it's nest.

Finely worked piece designed as a nesting swan with outstretched wings, pavé set throughout with tiny white brilliant-cut diamonds (in total 14.50 ct), two yellow diamond navettes for the eyes (in total ca. 0.2 ct), and 13 drop-cut sapphires (in total 1.3 ct), the beak with mother-of-pearl and onyx. With two bails and clip brooch mountings with double-pin to the reverse it can be worn as a brooch or pendant. Hallmarks: Fineness 18 K, "ME", "Stenzhorn", diamond weight "D1450". Ca. 8.0 x 7.5 cm. Weight 43.57 g.
