A pair of Augsburg silver reliefs

Rectangular reliefs with finely chased repoussé depictions of the Annunciation and the Virgin Mary with Christ and the young John the Baptist. Mounted under glass in modern sheet gold frames. H 16.8; W 14.8 and H 16.4; W 14.3 cm. Weight 79 and 91 g.
Marks of Hans I Warnberger, 1618 - 1622.

Both depictions are based on works by artists in the circle of Hans Rottenhammer (Munich 1564 - 1625 Augsburg).
