A Franconian carved wood relief of the Virgin and Child, around 1510/1520

The reverse flattened. With, presumably original, older polychromy, retouched in the blue areas. Pierced relief depicting the Virgin Mary enthroned above a crescent moon, holding the Christ Child standing in Her lap.
The sceptre held by the Virgin and the object (bird?) held by Christ lost. A repaired breakage with minor losses to the Virgin's shoulder, backed with canvas. Minor wear throughout. Height 36.5 cm, depth 2.5 cm (without the Virgin's extended hand).
