A bronze figure of Guanyin. Ming dynasty, 17th century

Seated in meditation on a very large lotus flower, the hands in mudra, the stems growing from the palms supporting a vase and a parrot respectively, on the head an ornate diadem with a central figure of Amitabha, ear hangings and jewelery to the chest. Remains of red pigments, lacquer and a little gilding.
