Four Berlin KGM porcelain dessert plates with bird motifs

Lead-free glaze was already being produced in France at the end of the 18th century under the name "Hygiocerames". In 1818, KPM decided to start up production in a sister company, KGM, which was based west of the Tiergarten on the Spree.
