A French 17th century 18k gold enamel and rare flamework glass relief pendant.

Rectangular plaque with royal blue enamel ground applied with a flamework glass relief depiction of the Virgin kneeling with the body of Christ, in a sheet gold setting. The corresponding surround decorated on both sides with white and green raised enamel and transparent counter enamel. With a small tax stamp. Enamel of the surround with minor chips and losses, the hands of the Virgin lost. 3.5 x 4.5 cm. Weight 10.80 g.
