A Louis XV chest of drawers

Rosewood, ceder, stained maple, and oak veneers on softwood. Two-drawer bombé-form cabinet with breche d'Alep marble top, the pointed front angles and curved apron adorned with ormolu mountings. The front with floral marquetry on pale ground in six reserves, the sides panels with identical inlaid motifs. The apron stamped "J.DEMOULIN". The marble with a repaired breakage, older repaired shrinkage cracks. H 88.5, W 114.5, D 60 cm.
