A Reval parcel gilt silver ewer and cover

Cylindrical vessel with moulded rim and scroll handle on tripod claw-and-ball supports. Decorated with finely chased repoussé garlands of flowers, vegetables and fruit. The domed lid with corresponding decor and bifurcated thumbrest. Engraved with a coat-of-arms beneath a baronial crown, depicting of the Lamb of God triumphing over a dragon dated "Anno 1679". Engraved inventory no. "V" and weight "210 z." to the underside. H 19.2 cm, weight 878 g.
