A Meissen porcelain cup and saucer with "hausmaler" decor

Decorated with finely painted bouquets and foliage and scrolls interspersed with purple fan motifs around the inner rim. Blue crossed swords mark, dreher's no. (saucer). H cup 4.7, D saucer 13.7 cm.
The porcelain Meissen, around 1740, decor attributed to Bayreuth, Johann Friedrich Metzsch.

Provenance

Private collection, Westphalia, acquired in 1973 from Hans H. Mischell, Cologne.
