A Tibetan Thangka of Buddha Shakyamuni. 19th century

Seated in meditation on an opulent Garuda-crowned throne, his hands held in dharmachakramudra. Above him Tsongkhapa seated under a parasol, flanked by two lamas, on either side of him arhats and in the lower area four taras, and Mahakala in a flaming aureole between Vaishravana and Dhritarastra. Silk mount. Framed under glass
