An Ottoman silver-mounted yatagan with scabbard. 19th century

With single-edged wootz blade with silver-inlaid ornament on each side including flowers and scrolls, the hilt probably with a wooden core encased in silver chased with flowering foliage, and scabbard encased in silver with tendrils and flowers, ornamental bands and a scaly fabulous beast with a gaping jaw, the central part of the wood core scabbard wrapped with a red cord.
