An oval four-case inrô. Mid-19th century

Displaying a rooster on a drum entwined by ivy on one side and a picking hen and chicken on the other side, in gold takamakie, hiramakie, kirikane, brown, red, and black lacquer on a kinji ground. Signed Kajikawa. Nashiji and fundame to the inside. Glass ojime and a walrus tusk netsuke of a man with a wooden board. Traces of use.
